The 2016 edition of Australia's Soundwave festival has been cancelled a month before it was scheduled to get underway due to "poor ticket sales."

Soundwave is an annual Australian rock festival which, for this 16th year takes place in 3 cities across Australia in 2016.

Saturday 23rd January - Brisbane Showgrounds (Brisbane)
Sunday 24th January - Sydney Olympic Park (Sydney)
Tuesday 26th January (Australia Day) - RAS Melbourne Showgrounds (Melbourne)

Line-up

Latest additions Disturbed, NOFX, Nothing But Thieves, and Frenzal Rhomb.

First acts confirmed are Metal AllegianceâÂÂÂÂ, Bring Me The Horizon, Refused, Bullet For My Valentine, Hatebreed, Moose Blood, Lordi, Northlane, Dead Letter Circus, Devil You Know, and Failure.

Early bird tickets are priced at AU$155.84.

Age restrictions

Soundwave Young people aged under 18 attending Soundwave should be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 or over). Soundwave is not suitable for children under 12 and they will not be admitted.

Opening times

Gates will open at 11am, and close at 10pm. Festival goers can arrive and leave Soundwave Festival whenever you like, however pass outs (leaving & re-entering the venue) will not be permitted.
