This is your chance for you to win yourself a pair of festival wristbands to this year's Liverpool Sound City held for four days and nights from Wednesday 20th until Saturday 23rd May at the Hard Days Night Hotel and multiple venues and spaces in Liverpool's cultural quarter. A festival wristband will give you access to all four days and nights of live events and gigs, capacity permitting.

During the days the Hard Days Night Hotel and the Cavern Club, play host to a musical industry conference. Each night there will be bands, DJs and artists performing at many venues, spaces and clubs throughout the city. There will be dozens of parties and gigs, including an unsigned festival featuring new acts coming into Liverpool from all over the world, and parties hosted by festivals and labels each showcasing some of their biggest names and rising stars.

This year's line-up includes headliners Calvin Harris and White Lies, plus Black Lips, Clinic, Crystal Antlers, Delta Maid, Johnny Foreigner, Karima Francis, Miko Miko, Red Light Company, Robin Guthrie, The Seal Cub Clubbing Club, Sky Larkin, Telepathe, The Invisible, The Phantom Band, The XX, White Denim, You Me at Six, and more. The Zutons will play at St George's Hall as part of 'Gaymers Grassroots Gigs' on 23rd May marking the closing night of the Liverpool SoundCity music festival.

In total, more than 400 acts from around the world will play to 25,000 people across 30 of Liverpool's venues for four days.

Normal full weekend tickets will be priced at £60, or £80 on the gate. A festival and conference pass is priced at £120. To buy individual event tickets, click here.

The prize does not include provision for accommodation. There are plenty of accommodation options available in the city.

Please note: Proof of ID will be required to collect passes.

To enter the competition simply correctly answer the question below.

Rules:
  1. Only one entry per person.
  2. The competition is open to all UK residents, except employees of eFestivals.co.uk and companies involved in the competition.
  3. Closing date for receipt of entries is 9a.m. Friday 15th May 2009. The winner's name, and the results, will be announced on this webpage soon after. The winner will also be informed via email.
  4. All requested information must be completed. Your details are kept safe - please see the privacy policy for more information.
  5. All entrants for this competition must be over 18 years old.
  6. Each competition entrant will (if not already) be subscribed to the Festivals Newsletter.
  7. Wristbands can be collected from the Hard Days Night Hotel on 20th and 21st May 2009 between 10am and 8pm, and 22nd and 23rd May from St.Georges Hall between 10am and 6pm. There will NOT be an opportunity to collect wristbands outside of the schedule stated. If a wristband is not collected, Liverpool Sound City cannot refund the cost of your wristband in any part.
  8. A charge (equivalent to the original purchase price) will be levied for the replacement of lost or stolen wristbands.
  9. All live events will be subject to venue capacity restrictions. If a venue becomes full the venue management team may refuse access. In this case, Liverpool Sound City cannot refund the cost of your wristband. Access to all live venues is at the discretion of the venue management team. In the case of refused access, Liverpool Sound City cannot refund the cost of your wristband.
  10. The winning entries are selected at random from all correct entries, as will the entry day for the tickets.
  11. The judges decision is final.
