A week filled with folk music, singing, dancing, pub sessions, concerts, and cream teas, focused in the centre of Sidmouth, Devon and on the sea front. The dates for 2009 are Friday 31st July to Friday 7th August.

Confirmed artists so far for 2009 include: Lau; Waterson Carthy; Oysterband; Jim Moray; The Spooky Men's Chorale; Steve Knightley and Friends; Riccardo Tesi and Banditaliana; Peatbog Faeries; Eric Bogle; Hotel Palindrone; The Dhol Foundation; Edward II; The Lark Rise Band; Spiers and Boden; Genticorum; The Destroyers; Prego; Paprika Balkanicus; The London Bulgarian Choir; Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson; Jackie Leven; and Wheeler Street.

As well as live music, expect ceilidh dances, social dance bands & callers, workshops, a dance display, processions, craft fair, a themed children's festival, fun and games and more, with the festival spread across several venues throughout the town, over an 8 day period.

Tickets
Tickets are on sale priced as follows:
Adult season ticket £160; young adult season (18-24) £120; youth (12-17) season then £80; Child (7-11) season £40; Children under 7 have free entry. To buy tickets, click here.

Ham evening season tickets are priced at £60 for adults; young adult Ham season ticket £45; youth & child Ham season ticket £30. A limited number of advance tickets are on sale for individual events at the Ham Marquee, Manor Pavilion and Bulverton Marquee. To download a booking form in PDF format for these, click here.

As a result of changes in the interpretation of licensing regulations, children can now be admitted to late night events at the Bulverton Marquee. They must, however be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Camping charges
There charges for using the campsite are as follows:
Adult/Young Adult full week £50
Youth full week £25
Under 11 full week FREE
Family full week £130
Caravan/motorhome supplement £24
Camping per night £10.

There will also be several workshops, some are planned as a series, with a performance usually planned for the end of the week.
