Sensoria runs from Friday 24th until Thursday 30th April as a celebration of the artforms of music and film. Sensoria takes place at various venues in Sheffield and its supporters include Jarvis Cocker, Richard Hawley, Martyn Ware, The Long Blondes, Reverend and the Makers and Richard H. Kirk (formerly of Cabaret Voltaire).

Acts announced for 2009 includes Comsat Angels with support from The Hosts, who will play at the O2 Academy, Sheffield on Sunday 26th April. There's a live accompaniment by In The Nursery & Sieben to archive films from the Mitchell & Kenyon collection in the courtyard of Butcher Works, and Carmen Ghia and the Hotrods playing on Sunday 26th at Sheffield Showroom are also confirmed.

Mixed in Sheffield which takes place on Saturday 18th April at Yellow Arch Studios with 23 of Sheffield's DJs playing tag-team style sets in one 7 hour marathon musical extravaganza.

In the Spring the event will offer a heady mix of screenings, performance, talks, events and exhibitions, and before the festival will be Sensoria Teasers - events, activities and collaborations as and when the opportunity arises.

SensoriaPro which will happen on Thursday 30th April from 10am - 6pm will deliver an informal, interactive survey of issues such as music synchronisation, virtual soundscapes and the latest developments in music video for professionals and emerging talent within the music and film industry.

Installations include Wet Sounds the underwater music experience, My Secret Heart an immersive installation on a purpose built 360 degree screen with surround sound, A Wall Is A Screen - a city tour with projections of short film and video onto suitable walls as and when they are found, and a sound installation from the Delia Derbyshire Archive at The University of Manchester.

UK Film premieres and previews include Youssou Ndour: I Bring What I Love; Sounds Like Teen Spirit; The Beat Is The Law Part One - The Eighties; Gogol Bordello Non-Stop; Music Is The Art Of Time; and Vashti Bunyan: From Here To Before/
