Ruisrock is one of Europe's oldest rock festivals and takes place annually on the picturesque island of Ruissalo, Turku, in Finland. The dates for the 46th edition are from Friday 3rd, to Sunday 5th of July.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed were Pharrell Williams, Foals, Marina and the Diamonds, Pariisin Kevät, Hisser ja Eva & Manu, Mokoma, Von Hertzen Brothers, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, Antti Tuisku, Paperi-T, Grave Pleasures, Pimeys, and Tiisu.

A 3 day ticket with camping is priced at 165 euros, or 135 euros without camping.

On site

The festival has four large stages, and a few small ones. There are the usual kind of festival fare food, plus merchandise areas, stalls and Guitar Hero stands etc.In 2008 there was even a circus.

Camping

Camping spaces must be booked beforehand in the official camping site of Ruisrock. There are also accommodation options available on the island, but they tend to get booked up quickly, so it is best to book early.

Getting there

Most festival goers go by train from Helsinki which has transport links to Europe. Turku does also have an airport with air links to Belgium, Denmark, and Poland.
