Rhythm and Vines' little sister Rhythm and Alps takes place in the Cardrona Valley, 15 minutes south of Wanaka, Central Otago. The festival site is located between Cardrona Ski resort and the Pisa Plateau, and takes place on Monday 20th and Tuesday 31st December 2013.

Line-up

The latest additions are Zane Lowe, The Veils, DJ Zinc, Nathan Haines, Kevin Mark Trail, Cairo Knife Fight, Truth, Freddie Cruger AKA Red Astaire, Spikey Tee, Ruse, Lewis Tenant, Steezie Wonder, Sticky Fingaz, , Play DJ’s (R.I.A and C:She) Seth Hamilton and Holly Arrowsmith.

The first acts confirmed were Rudimental (DJ Set), Shapeshifter, Hospitality, High Contrast, Camo & Krooked, Danny Byrd, Metrik, Dynamite MC, Tahuna Breaks, ThePunk Hunters, Recloose, P-Money, David Dallas, @Peace, Concord Dawn /Bulletproof, The Nomad, Louis Baker, Mayavanya, Reality Chant & McSilva & Jah Red Lion, Steve Ward, Jamie Stevens, Thankyou City, Estere/ Kev Fresh, Thanks, and Gasp.

Tickets are priced at $199 (New Zealand) with camping or $129 without camping .

Rhythm and Alps is the only two-day music festival in the South Island, and will run at the same time as Rhythm and Vines in Gisborne to see in the new year. Rhythm and Alps will cater for up to 5000 campers this year, employ up to 100 local persons and involve local clubs.
