Eagles Of Death Metal ask "Reading, are you ready to rock 'n' roll?", and judging by the dust cloud whipped up in the mosh pit in front of the main stage mnany of us are.

The band respond to the atmosphere with 'Bad Dream Mama', 'Heart On', and 'Cherry Cola'. Sounding a little ragged at time, the Eagles of Death Metal make sure they're having a great time, and they're the best band so far for me today.

Their music still bears the hallmarks of founder Josh Homme, who has quite an influence on many of today's acts; when Dave Grohl is shown n the big screens there's a huge cheer.

Frontman Jesse Hughes has loads of banter - we wish everyone a happy birthday, and then sing along to 'English Girls'. There's an embarrassing dad moment when he dedicates an extended 'I Want You So Hard' to his "little sweetheart on the side of the stage" and she hides her head in her hands.

Circle inducing old school rock. Good stuff!
