Reading Festival reviews Tue 29th Aug 06 I finally get to see the band I keep missing all summer due to bad planning and I’m glad I do as it’s wonderful clean melodies and songs with felling. “‘Children of the Revolution’ is a song about festivals like this one, corporate events.” Sam says as he plays his vitriolic song about the corporate monsters. It’s not long ‘til Sam is talking passionately about Love Music Hate Racism and the crowd give him an ovation before he launches into ‘Glass Houses’ the music is sweet and the band include a trumpet player to add a bit weight of to the tunes. It’s very fine, rarified music, perfect for such an occasion and the sound in the Carling Stage is pin perfect. Just wish I’d seen him a few more times. review by Scott Williams
