Reading Festival reviews Thu 31st Aug 06 This lot are clearly flavour of the month as they draw in a large crowd spilling out to the screen outside and there’s a good portion of those that know every note and sing every line. I’m not a big fan of their drum and rumbling bass line driven music and their shrieking lead singer but they produce a decent performance and the crowd are lovin’ it. What the hell’s going on with their songs? They’re all just titled numbers and Sixteen is a slower track, a duet and has them branching out a bit and is much more suited for a hot tent and the remnants of the night before. Katie Nicholls suddenly starts screeching out numbers and after a while it does my head in! But her saving grace is that her drumkit has Love Not Riots logo emblazoned across it. The numbers continue with the other numerical tracks and they are clearly well liked on the day. review by Scott Williams
