Now in its eighth year the Raglan Music Festival held in Raglan, Monmouthshire has grown from a local village get-together to a weekend event attracting crowds of over 4000 people who not only listen, but participate in an outstanding community festival. Due to the change in bank holidays the festival will now take place from Friday 15th June to Sunday 17th June 2012.

Line-up

Friday: Pupils of Raglan School, Tutti Flootey, Greater Gwent Youth Choir, Owen Farr, Turner Street Crash, Beaney Michael, Dead Ringers, 4th Street Traffic, and Between the Lines.
Saturday: Ffred Jones, 4th Street Traffic, Tafijah Allstars + more, Pluck and Squeeze Ceilidh (incl Food), Steven Sproat, Torfean County Borough Big Band.
Sunday: The Amsterdam Green Room, Cor y Dreigiau Choir, Trickster + more, Big Macs Wholly Soul Band, The Vandalists, The Black Rat Effect.

During the three day event more than forty performances are planned plus countless informal jam sessions, street performers and buskers. A community led event embracing all ages and musical genres from blues, choral, classical, folk, pop and rock, at one of the numerous venues around the village. Many events are free.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been announced, many events are expected to be free.

Workshops

There are also free workshops for young people to have the opportunity of a lesson on the instrument of their choice, plus open jam sessions in the pubs.
