Synergy Youth Festival 2013

Groundwork South and Eastleigh Borough Council are collaborating to host a free of charge festival aimed at young people aged 11-19 years on Saturday 22nd June 2013, from 12-6pm at Leigh Road Recreation Ground, Eastleigh, in Hampshire.

This drug and alcohol free event will showcase talent from the borough and further afield in a celebration of young people's achievements and the services available to them. Partner organisations will be running interactive stalls for the day where young people are invited to find out more information regarding the opportunities available to them locally.

After consultation through Energy Youth Centre (also ran by Groundwork) the consensus amongst young people is that they wanted a music and entertainment event with a festival theme to it, but specifically aimed at their age group. Energy Youth Centre runs numerous band nights, MC workshops and has a fully fitted studio already meaning the music element could be easily incorporated.
