Riviera Swing is a weekend of 1930's & 1940's vintage entertainment in Torquay happening at The Victoria Hotel, Torquay, in Devon from Friday 15th until Monday 18th February 2013 offering dance classes, tea dances, sing-a-longs, classic cinema, and a vintage market.

Line-up

Acts confirmed include The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Lola Lamour & her Blue Light Boys, The Little Devils, Kate Garner, and DJs including O-Kay For Sound, Rob Be-Bop, The Swinging Detective, and hosted by Viv The Spiv.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £189 per person for 2 nights (Fri-Sun) or £249 per person for 3 nights (Fri-Mon). Prices include breakfast and evening meal, dance classes, cinema and free access to a swimming pool and leisure facilities.A Non-residential weekend pass is priced at £139/person. DJs will offer Quickstep, Fox Trot, Waltz, Lindy, or Balboa and there's a chance to try your hand at period party dances including the Palais Glide, The Valeta, The Lambeth Walk, and more with dance teachers Mark & Hoc Ewing, aided and abetted by Bryan & Lou Webb and Rob Be Bop & Julie.

There will be tea dances every afternoon with DJ's, a gathering around the piano for daily lunchtime sing-a-longs with Kate Garner, daughter of Chas (Chas and Dave) Hodges.

Plus screenings of classic vintage cinema, as well as clothes, shoes, music, accessories and more at the vintage market.
