Leeds Underground is a seven day grassroots music festival that will be taking place across city venues in Leeds from Thursday 16th to Wednesday 22nd August. Celebrating and actively promoting the tradition of live music across the city at venues including Carpe Diem, The New Conservatory, The Dry Dock, Empire, Baby Jupiter, The Well and The Midnight Bell.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

More info

This event is organised by some of the former Leeds Fringe team and aims to showcase local talent and raise awareness for Martin House Children's Hospice. The event is able to accommodate some of the younger bands and their fans this year, as they have a good number of 14+ events. There will be seven nights at Empire including the Metal Fringe, which returns after the success of last year. Local promoters Beat Surrender will also be hosting three nights of under -21 bands. The opening night on 16th August at The Well, will also be open to ages 14+. Carpe Diem will also be focusing on younger bands this year, and giving young people an opportunity to play live shows. (18+).
