The Famous Grouse Festival is a new music festival in Scotland hosted by The Famous Grouse showcasing some of the best musical talent and whisky that the country has to offer. Taking place in scenic Perthshire at Scotland's most visited and oldest working distillery, The Famous Grouse Festival will run for the first time on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th August 2011.

Line-up

Friday's line-up is Donnie Munro (Runrig), The Gospel truth Choir, Michael Marra, Jill Jackson, and Eric Faulkner.

Headlining on the Saturday night will be Glasvegas, also performing are Jill Jackson, Skerryvore, Mànran, and Piperactive. Budding musicians who are keen to perform can enter a competition to become the final act and complete the Saturday line-up.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £30 per day. Tickets are restricted to those aged 14 and above and all over 18's will be treated to three free drams. To buy tickets, here.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in Perthshire.

Charity

This inaugural whisky and music festival marks the brand's 30th anniversary. The Famous Grouse Festival will offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy whisky sessions with the master blender, sample The Famous Grouse Family: The Famous Grouse, The Black Grouse and The Snow Grouse and learn how to make whisky cocktails - all whilst enjoying music from some of Scotland's best musicians and bands.
