High Head Green Gathering is held at woods near Scratchmere Scar, Plumpton, in Cumbria. This camping weekend party of music, dancing, workshops and more for all ages is held from Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th July.

Line-up

There will be a range of music to suit all tastes. The following are performing with others to be confirmed. Scarred I.D. Room Full of Mirrors , Dirt Roads Starve the Barber Drumlin, Captain Stogie, Rob Heron and the Two Man Orchestra ,Uphill Plum Gardeners Digitalis, Ethan Thomas, Set In Stone (TBC), The Gardenelles, Even Lennie, and a Skank Surprise in the wood! An open mike stage will be available for all budding musicians who want to have a go!

Tickets

Earlybird tickets are priced at £35 (full price £40) for the whole weekend including camping, Accompanied Children under 16 are FREE. The tickets will sell out fast and are available online.

The festival

The festival has a maximum capacity of 500 and is contained within the festival field. There will be two stages, as well as a chillout tent, various open mike tents and acoustic stages, children's area/activities and a healing zone, as well as many other surprises.

Green ethos

The festival will be as green as possible with minimal impact on the environment and organisers hope that everyone that attends will help us make this happen. There will be a 'no generator' policy and will endeavour to use alternative energy wherever possible. They will be promoting recycling throughout the festival weekend. No glass, mess, or frowns! Please remove all tent pegs and recycle rubbish in the bags and bins provided. No dogs.

Refreshments

There will be an assortment of food to buy during the weekend as well as fantastic ales in the bar tent.

The site

The festival field is located near to Plumpton in fields and woods at Scratchmere Scar and is easily accessible from the M6. Camping with cars will be on the festival field, basic toilets and drinking water are provided. Arrival is from 12pm on the Friday when the site opens and people have left the site by 10.am on Monday morning.

Workshops

Workshops include The infamous Woodturning Mushroom Peddlers, Woodcarving, Paper Pixies and lantern making, jewellery making, Story Telling, Urban Yurt Foundation, Green Oak Framers, Stone Sculptures, Brian Abbott Site Art, Face Painting, Dave Corrie and his pole lathe workshop and more.

The healing area

There will be information and appointments available for a whole range of alternative therapies over the course of the weekend with options for taster sessions and full sessions.

Charity

Many people have given their time free of charge, in particular the musicians and crafts people and without this generosity we would not have been able to have such a fantastic line-up at such a great price. Any profits made from the festival will be given to charity.
