Tramway Village Folk Weekend takes place on Sunday 4th and Bank Holiday Monday 5th May at Crich Tramway Village, nr Matlock, Derbyshire.

The Crich Folk Weekend will again this year see the trams playing a key part in the event, enabling people to travel between the many live music venues around the Tramway Village. Even the trams themselves will also become venues for impromptu performances.

'Britain's First Lady of Folk' Julie Felix will be headlining on both days in the marquee in the Woodland Walk area overlooking the Derwent Valley. Also appearing over the weekend will be a variety of well-known local folk musicians including No Fixed Abode, and Jack Hudson.

The Village venue means different acts can appear on stage at the same time, giving visitors the opportunity to ride the trams, explore the Village and see and hear a great range of live music. The Red Lion pub with real ale on tap is sure to be a popular venue.

This is also a family event. There will be a whole host of entertainment including performances from a variety of folk dancing troupes and the Tramway Village’s play areas, exhibitions and tram rides will be open as usual.

All performances are included in the normal Crich Tramway Village admission prices: Adult tickets are priced at £10 Senior citizen tickets are £9 and child (3-15) tickets £5. Family (2 adults, 3 children) tickets are priced at £28.
