last updated : Fri 19th Sep 08 Toast Festivals is inspired by the culture of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand and takes place from Friday 26th until Sunday 28th September with each day celebrating a different culture. It is the largest celebration of the Southern hemisphere within the UK. The three day series of events includes performances from: South Africa Just Jinjer, Freshground, Arno Carstens, Zolani, and jacSharp. New Zealand Supergroove featuring Che Fu, Op Shop, Collapsing Cities, The Fluids. Australia Tyrone Noonan, Brooke Supple, Mahalia Barnes, and Jimmy Barnes. As well as music there's a selection of traditional foods, wines, and home-grown comedy from the likes of South African Paul Snodgrass.
