last updated : Fri 11th Jul 08 The RocknRoots festival takes place over August Bank Holiday from Saturday 23rd August to Monday 25th August at Much Marcle, near Ross on Wye, Hereford. The acts confirmed for 2008 include Steve Cropper (Booker T & The MGs – Stax legend), Curved Air (Full Original Line Up reformed), Jefferson Starship, Marillion, Cerys Mathews, Originals Mick Ralphs and Bad Company, Dave Bucket Colwell, Jaz Lochirie and Co play Bad Company, Walter Trout, The Wurzels, Stan Webbs Chicken Shack, Dave Swarbs, Lazarus, Thunderclap Newman, Stackridge, The BossHoss, Wayne Hussey (The Mission), The Animals, Neck, SkaVille UK, Sian Evans (Kosheen), Rachel Unthank & The Winterset, Ezio, Never The Bride, Acoustic 2Tone Theatre, The Deep, Leander Morales, and Cheryl Beer. Day tickets are available priced at £36 for an adult, child tickets are £6 (Children 10 - 16 years old.) and kids £2 (Children 5 - 9 years old). Weekend Tickets are on sale priced at £110 for adults (Earlybird Price £90 Available until June 30th); Child £15 (Children 10 - 16 years old); Kids £4 (Children 5 - 9 years old). Weekend Tickets are also available with camping priced at £125 for an adult (Earlybird Price £99 Available until June 30th); Child weekend with camping £30 (Children 10 - 16 years old); Kids weekend with Camping £5 (Children 5 - 9 years old). Camper Van/Caravan pitches where all occupants must have a weekend ticket with Camping are priced at £20. The campsite opens from 12 noon on the 22 August until 12 noon Tuesday 26 August. Camping is available on the festival site to weekend camping ticket holders only. No cars are allowed on the campsite, but parking is adjacent to the camp site. To buy tickets and pitches, click here. The festival will have three music tents, 50+ stalls, craft displays, exotic foods with catering from around the world, juggling schools, and a wine bar. A Kidz Zone with juggling workshops, art classes, five a side soccer games, circus skills and workshop performances. There is an Acoustic Mag kyam a huge seated marquee with lounge area and bar, Farmer Giles Barn Dance, cinema dome powered by solar, soccer academy, cyber tent, a massive 100ft Real Ale tent with local cider and ales, street performers, Graffitti Tent, Late Night bar, Big Top, hot showers, local Cider Brewery, and village shop and pub.
