Portfest Music Weekend is a four day event held in the village of Portmahomack in Easter Ross, Highland, Scotland on the August Scottish bank holiday weekend from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th August 2008.
There will be 20 bands playing at the festival, bands confirmed so far include Alabama 3, Martin stephenson & the Toe Rags, RetroSmith & the Ruthless Blues, Lights out by Nine, Meatloaf (Terry Nash) & the Rokky Horror Show, Lorelei, Olympic Lifts, 24 Jaks, Woodland Orchestra, Storm Chasers, Dilemma, PantZ, and DefconOne.
The programme of events is as follows:
Friday Roots-Boots and Hoots - live band/dance, doors open at 8.00pm. Tickets are priced at £15.
Saturday starts with bands on the FREE live out door stage at 1.00pm. Then in the evening there is a rock-roll and soul night, doors open at 8.00pm. Tickets are priced at £15.
Sunday has more live acts on the FREE outdoor stage at 1.00pm with an evening event with Terry Nash as Meatloaf Meets The Rokky Horror Show, doors open at 8.00pm. Tickets are priced at £15.
Monday is the recovery bash on the FREE outdoor stage starting at 1.00pm with and open mic show.
