last updated : Mon 7th Apr 08 Lakeside Magic features a series of concerts ranging from jazz, and proms, to opera and tribute bands, taking place from 10th - 13th July 2008 in the grounds of Kingston Maurward College in Dorset. Lakeside Magic celebrates its 10th year in 2008 and has become a popular event for families of all ages. There's also a fireworks finale every evening plus camping facilities for those who wish to stay overnight. This year's programme is as follows: Thursday, 10th July: Magic of Motown with special guest Alexander O'Neal, Simon Webbe has had to cancel his appearance. Friday, 11th July: Bee Gee Magic and Queen B. Saturday, 12th July: 60's Summer of Love with the UK Beach Boys. Sunday, 13th July: John Miller and his orchestra with special guest star, Jane McDonald. TICKETS Tickets are priced at £20 (£10 - kids aged 5-14 years) in advance or £22 / £24 on gate. Tickets can be purchased online here. Tickets are priced at a slightly higher rate for seating, either on the terrace or in deck chairs. If you are happy to sit on the grass, you can get these directly from Kingston Maurward Visitor Centre and from Tourist Information Centres in Dorchester and Bridport. Camping Camping and tour caravan facilities are available for all 4 nights. The cost is likely to be around �10 per unit per night (includes up to 6 people per unit).
