AudioVision is an audio visual festival which takes place in Liverpool from Monday 15th to Saturday 20th September and combines live VJing and DJing with artist screenings and visual workshops to celebrate Liverpool's Capital of Culture status and the 5th Biennial.

On of the main aspects of the festival will be that the south face of the Mersey Tunnel's art deco air vent will be turned into a visual art installation for AudioVision 08.

Artists performing over the event include NOMO, Jacqueline Passmore, The Smith Quartet, Addictive TV, flat-e & Ultre, and Kinetic Fallacy.

From Monday 15th to Friday 19th September, live footage of the city and its people will be projected onto the vent alongside large-scale video installations from American artists and musicians NOMO and Liverpool-based visual artist Jacqueline Passmore.

There is a ticket only performance which will take place at The Bluecoat on Wednesday 17th September, when The Smith Quartet will be using strings and electronics to perform music by Steve Reich and new composers in conjunction with commissioned cinematic pieces from six local visual artists. Tickets for this performance are priced at £12, to buy tickets click here.

The festival closes with a free event on Saturday 20th September with a spectacular evening of live music and outdoor AV projection on a special stage beneath the vent. Gates open from 7pm and at 8pm performances start. Expect DJing and VJing from Addictive TV, Kinetic Fallacy, and Flat-e and Ultre.
