Applefest (Lewes) 2008

Applefest takes place at Middle Farm at Firle, Lewes, East Sussex over two days - Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October and runs from 10am until 5pm each day. The festival is billed as a celebration of music, dance, fun and feasting in celebration of English apples.

The line-up of acts so far confirmed include:

MAIN STAGE
Saturday: The Ukes of Hazzard, Fish Brothers, Red Jackson, Resonators, Curst Sons.
Sunday: Bunty Looping, King Porter Stomp, Great Apes, Django Spears, Carnival Collective, and Orkestra Del Sol (TBC).

THE PIP INN
Days to be confirmed: Danni Nicholls, Gus Devlin and the Resistance, Max and the Swing Commanders, Porchlight Smokers, The Barker Band, Marcus Bridge, Faye Houston, Morgan and Phil Jones (The Jones), The Bobby McGees, and Chicken Shed Zeppelin.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 for a day or £10 for both days and are only available on the gate. Under 12's go free, and tickets include entry to the farm.

Middle Farm is situated on the main A27 Lewes to Eastbourne road, between the villages of Firle and Selmeston. The nearest stations are Glynde (2 miles, there is a cycle path from Glynde station) or Lewes (5 miles).

The Cuckmere Community Bus will be running between Lewes Train Station and Middle Farm, leaving Lewes Train Station at 5 minutes past each hour. Bus tickets are priced at £1.00 for a return fare.
