Zoo Thousand And Eight Music Festival is a new festival in the grounds of Port Lympne Wildlife Park in Kent held from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July.

The festival promises "a diversity of music genres, ranging from drum & bass to indie rock". It also promises, "a main stage, huge marquees and over 100 live acts, bands, stage shows and some of the world's top DJ's".

Headlining the Friday is Mark Ronson, Sunday has The Hives, with other acts including The Cribs, Athlete, Funeral For A Friend, Young Knives, Bloc Party (Dj Set), Lethal Bizzle, Pendulum (DJ set), Flogging Molly, Roni Size Reprazent, British Sea Power, Hadouken!, Wiley, The Rascals, Friendly Fires, Chas & Dave, Mitchell Brothers, The Whip, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Does It Offend You Yeah?, The Rumble Strips, Little Man Tate, Stanton Warriors, MSTRKRFT, Switch, Micky Slim, Goldie, Andy C, Fabio, Dj Excalibah, Bodyrox, Freemasons, Newham Generals, The Hexes, Inner City Dwellers, Fucked Up, Friction, Hazard & Sly, Jungle Drummer & Fu, Alix Perez, Subfocus, Dice & Ruffstuff, Evil Nine, Underground Heroes, Nick Harrison, Marner Brown, Maker, Boa Binga & ID, Kid Blue, Merca, Hana Holland, Small Fry, and The New Puritans all announced with more headliners expected to be announced sometime in the near future. There is free car parking for cars with 3 or more people on arrival. Cars with Two persons or less will be charged at £10 per car for parking.

The event hopes to raise money for the John Aspinall Foundation, a charity which works to promote wildlife conservation and helps pay the bills on the family zoos and their own endeavours in conservation. John Aspinall was a millionaire professional gambler who operated casinos around the world, and was reputedly a co-plotter in an extreme right-wing conspiracy against Britain's Labour government.
