The Gig 2006 is a mini festival held at Knighton farm, about 15 minutes drive from Newcastle. The festival is held for one day on July 1st with the first band on stage at 7pm.

Acts already confirmed are Polytechnic, The Get Out Clause, Dirty Love Project, Rober Bill, Thelma and Dead, Here Lies Humanity, Johnny and The Pokers, The Weaker Round, Shamrock, and Fire Pit.

The organisers are inviting festival goers to bring their own tents to camp out over the night. Food and drink will be served but bring ID if you intend on drinking alcohol as a seperate wristband system will be in place to prevent under age drinking.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 for admission and £4.50 for camping (or £5 on the gate). Tickets can be bought on 0845 241 3211.
