The fifth annual Grassroots Festival takes place on Sunday 20th August at Pearson Park. The event will run from 12 noon until 6pm, with free admission for everyone.

Festival goers will be able to enjoy summer music all afternoon on the World Music Stage, join the Full Flava hip-hop stage with Lethal Bizzle and more, groove to the Funkywormhole Soundsystem and check out the Media Van young band stage, and Lamp acoustic stage and café.

There will also be fire-eaters, stilt-walkers, breakdancing, rap battling and Chinese dragon dancinbg. You can even join in music and dance workshops in the Wolf Glen Tipi Village.

Acts confirmed for the festival include Blind Lemon's Hot 5, The Annapurna Indian Dance Company, Gul Naz, Kava Kava, Oojami, DJ Redlocz a.k.a Outta Natty, Lethal Bizzle, Kamanchi Sly (Hijack), Venomous Tings, Streetlife Recordings and Mr PREZ, Madskillz, Baby Jinx, Hekima, and Redeye.
