A city council sponsored event featuring more than 40 live events and exhibitions plus a wide range of music, both classical and contemporary; dance, including ballet; drama; free family events; street theatre, and comedy. The opening and closing family events are free.

Amongst the many events, this year's programme includes: a free Party on the Quay on Friday, 7th July at Exeter Quayside & Piazza Terracina from 7.30pm - 11pm; plus performances from The Animals & Friends (16th July); Lady Swings the Blues - a Billey Holliday tribute evening with Zara McFarlane & Gary Crosby's NU Troop on 19th July; trumpet playing and full-on tap dancing Broadway style from Chanz on 11th July, and a free finale party on Sunday 23rd July in Northernhay Gardens for all the family.

There are several classical performances, plus world music, comedy from Ricki Thomlinson, contemporary theatre with 'Castradiva', and traditional theatre with Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night'.
