The Barnsley Original Music Festival takes place again this year, on Saturday the 22nd of July 2006, running from 12 noon to 12 midnight.

The festival will be located at the Miner’s Memorial Pit Site, Barnsley and is completely FREE.

The event is family orientated, celebrating original music in a variety of genres. Already confirmed for the festival are headliner Senser, and Nik Turner of Hawkhind and his band Galaktikos.

The music will be spread over four stages including the Main BOM stage, the Urban Dance Stage (including Live Graffiti Art), the Antiflow Acoustic Roots Tent and the brand new Extreme BOM Stage, specifically for young bands.

Acts confirmed for the Main BOM stage are Kanvas, My Device, The Baddies, Azura, Skinboat, Superfreak, Lost 45's. Hooker Bentley, Rasied by Animals, Andy Shades, Seventh Son, X-Rippers, Galactikos, and Senser.

Acts confirmed for The Antiflow Acoustic Roots Tent are Kavas Grey, Karen Mulcahey, Stubert, Katus, Jo Webb, Julie Ellison, Leon Doherty, Terri Shaltiel, Cassava, and Nucleus Roots.

Acts confirmed for The Extreme BOM Stage are Midair91, Dead Man's Finger, The Detours, The Headliners, Silverwood, Jericho, Fall From View, Timesprout, Canned, Falling From Grace, Nex, Session 9, and Reverance.

Acts confirmed for the Frontline Dance & Urban Stage include Cryptic, Tekdroid, Dark Fader featuring Figure of Speech, Molatov, Martin, Time D.J.,Jay Kilka, Sam Dixon, and Waxfactor.
