A brand new showcase event for local talent in music, comedy and the arts, held at various locations across Reading over the 5 day lead-up to the Carling Reading Festival. The Reading Fringe Festival aims to nurture links between different fields, genres and cultures, to spread the community spirit further afield and to actively seek out, encourage and promote new talent.
Expect a variety of acts from Screwball Cabaret including Pure Reason Revolution, pole dancing lessons, funk from Reading Funk Fest, roots reggae, artwork from Jelly Leg'd Chicken, fashion show and street performers, DJs and dancing.
Added to the above, other confirmed acts include: Aqua Livi and The Roots Imansion, Barflyz, Ben Marwood, Breakin Even, Carter, Chunky But Funky, DJ Awekid/Muzzle, White Sunday, DJ Caramac, Dub Bug (Blast 1836) Summer Unity, Ecoute, Eden of Flowers, Flux, Heartwear Process, Jah Lion, Kokatxa, Kraked Sound System, Mikey T, Müf, My Luminaries, Nine High, Nu Way Army, Polar Remote, Polestars, Pure Reason Revolution, Rebus, Sandcreek Massacre, She Sound, Six Nation State, Sonic Test Era, Suitable Case For Treatment, Wandan, Wire Jesus, and Strictly Street.
