Offering festival goers some top international musicians along with a host of Polish music and theatre acts, now over four days in 2009.

The 8th Heineken Open'er Festival takes place in Babie Doly Airfield, Gdynia, Poland for four days between Thursday 2nd and Sunday 5th July 2009.

The first confirmed acts are headliners Kings of Leon, and Arctic Monkeys, plus Pendulum, Moby, Placebo, The Prodigy, Q-Tip, M83, Hjaltalín, Emiliana Torrini, Fat Freddy's Drop, Madness, Crystal Castles, Basement Jaxx, Lily Allen, Santigold, White Lies, The Kooks, The Ting Tings, Duffy, Buraka Som Sistema, Speed Caravan, and Gossip. With the additional 'opening day' more than 120 artists will now be programmed to appear at Gdynia.

Easily accessible via low-cost airlines, it's a great alternative if you fail to get your hands on the UK festival ticket you wanted!

Next to existing stages - the Main Stage, Tent Stage, World Stage, Young Talents Stage, Beat Stage and Alter Space, the organises promise a new stage and a few new special places for 2009.

Open'er is Poland's largest music and performing arts festival, the total area of festival in Babie Doly airfield is 75 hectares of space with seven stages, around 120 artists, festival town with merchandising area, gastronomic zones, camp site, beach, sea and sun, space for sport activities and multimedia, NGO's, films, theatres and performances.

There are increased camping facilities (10 acres) on-site with showers, more toilets, 24-hour food points and even places to charge up your mobile phone. A free bus service will connect the festival with Gdynia city centre.

There is also a Festival Guide, which can be purchase for 1 coupon (3 PLN) in cash points at the festival area, where a lot of information about artists, maps of the festival with the description of gastronomic area (menu) and more other essential information can be found.

Tickets are on sale at the following 'early bird' prices:-
- 4-day ticket without camping: 280 PLN (approx. £57)
- 3-day ticket without camping: 240 PLN (approx. £49)
- 1-day tickets: 140 PLN (approx £26)
- a camping pass: 20 PLN (approx. £16)

The early bird ticket offer ends on Sunday 15th of February when the price for a 3 day ticket rises to 280 PLN (approx. £57), with the 4 day Ticket priced at 320 PLN (approx. £68). To buy tickets, click here.
