Newark Festival takes place on Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd June 2014 at Riverside Park, Tolney Lane, Newark, in Nottinghamshire.

Line-up

Friday: Union J, Luke Friend, Rough Copy, Loveable Rogues, TiCH, Ollie Marland, Hollywood Ending.

Saturday: The Human League, Heaven 17, Marc Almond.

Sunday: Firework Display, Camilla Kerslake, Trent Chamber Academy (Violin Orchestra), Newark Choral Society, Introduction by the Mayor of Newark, Postman Pat LIVE Show.

There will be plenty of family fun all weekend including: Funfair, Food and Drink Festival, Newark Carnival and Street Entertainment. The weekend will be rounded off by Family Proms in the Park on Sunday.

Earlier in the day there's a Food Market in the Market Place with a variety of stalls selling and promoting the very best of local food and drink.

Sunday is the day of the Newark Carnival and Family Fun Day at the Market Place before making their way to the Riverside Park where people can come along and enjoy family activities including face painting, parachute games, story telling, as well as children's favourites.

Sunday's free event sees traditional tunes from a full brass band will also be playing to the crowds throughout the day, a Spitfire flypast, and a closing firework display.

Tickets are priced at £20 for Friday, and £25 Saturday, other events are free. Under 17s must be accompanied by an adult.

On site

Disabled viewing and toilet facilities available, the venue also offers a bar and food.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
