The Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival returns with three days of open air mostly contemporary jazz, funk and soul music to the surroundings of Moseley Park, Birmingham from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th July 2013.

Friday is headlined by Bonobo, Saturday's headline act is Candi Staton, and Sunday headliner is Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, also confirmed are The Blockheads, Alternative Dubstep Orchestra, Antelope, Dubcherry, Terri Shaltiel, Leigh Coleman, Richard Foote Marching Band, Martin Trotman Band, Anthony Marsden Band, Stella Roberts Band, Jazzlines Ensemble, Smoove & Turrell, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, The Fantasy Funk Band, The Haggis Horns, Hiatus Kaiyote, Yes King, Jess Roberts & The Silver Rays, Greg Bird & Flamingo Flame, BJ Smith, The Soul Circle Gang, Lokkhi Terra, Snarky Puppy, Gogo Penguin, The Initiative, Mammal Hands, Stubborn Heart, Troumaca, Soul II Soul, and Craig Charles.

Tickets

An early bird adult day ticket is priced at £35 for Friday, and £37 for Saturday or Sunday, and weekend tickets are priced at £85. Tickets for children aged 12-15 years (when accompanied by a paying adult) are priced at £15 for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday day ticket, or £35 for a weekend ticket. Children aged under 12 go free when accompanied by a paying adult. Family weekend (£180) and two day ticket options are also available.

On site

The festival will have two stages side by side, the second of which will feature up and coming talent. There will also be films, artist talks, music workshops, jazz dance performances, live comedy and spoken word.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in and around Birmingham.
