The sixth Moira Furnace Folk Festival held at the heart of the National Forest takes place at Moira Furnace in Derbyshire from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th August 2014.

The festival features some well known and talented main acts, plus local and national, up and coming artists. Events take place on the green site of Moira Furnace as well as the Miners Welfare a few hundred metres from the main site. Sing arounds and Sessions take place at local pubs some 10 minutes walk from the main site.

In the natural amphitheatre of the Furnace there will be an open air concert as well as a concert and folk club in the furnace room.

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £35 for a weekend adult ticket; child (5-16) £6.50; family (2 adults and 2 children) £63.50. Children under 5 years free.

On site camping available only to full weekend ticket holders for additional £16 per unit. Weekend ticket includes Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend ticket price includes entrance to all festival music events except the Ceilidh (additional fee £7.50 adults, and £3.50 for children), and the 'A Days Work' Folk Opera extra event on Sunday -£10.50 adults, and £5.50 children.

On site

Children's entertainment including Punch and Judy, face painting and bouncy castles, also Real ale and a variety of trade stalls selling food, music, and crafts.

Entertainment

A wide variety of Morris dancing can be seen as well as Civil war re-enactments. Local camping available and free car parking is close at hand. Many tourist attractions are close to Moira including Conkers, the National Forest centre for recreation and hands on eco science as well as numerous country walks - dogs are allowed on site. There are tractor rides to various locations at the Festival as well as canal boat rides.
