Over the Golden jubilee weekend, Exeter plays host to the 3 day Mid Summer Nights Dream. Friday brings underground dance music, with Saturday seeing Nu metal, Indie rock and Ska punk. Sunday is an added feature,"Without cruelty fayre," featuring world music. The weekend boasts 2 marquees, 5 bars plus food stalls.

Fridays dance headliners sees Bristol's Full Cycle Crew's Kurst & Dynamite in marquee 1, joined by Filthy Rich, resident Cookie, plus MC's Lok-l and Solution. Local hip hop crew Headz together are joined by Black Twang, DEF TEX, D.P.F, Double Impact, The Untouchables, Specifik & Project Cee, and Critacally Ill are all on stage 2. Breakdance crew Unknown Assailants plus host Lord Louis, also take the stage.
Beatz & Bobz provide the breakbeats on stage 3, joining them, Will White from Propellerheads, Merv from Eatstatic and Will Saul. In the gallery Ben & Lex, Lee Wood, Joe Freeze and Lee Waller play quality house.

Saturday is "Metal Hammers 2nd Mid Summer Nightmare," with Spunge headlining the stage. Also on stage 1 is Ska punk guys Skindred, joined by sugarcoma, The Kennedy Soundtrack and Goatboy.
Stage 2 sees Arch Enemy, Sweden's Opeth, Bristol's Onedice, Vacant Stare, Breed 77, and Australia's Devolved. The marquee in the lower car park plays host to TotalRock.com with dj's from the internet radio station.

Entrance is free during sunday, which centers around green living, fair trade and all things earth friendly. Music comes from The Collective. The evening, (entrance fee) brings Banco De Gaia, Rifiki, an afro-latin six piece, and japanese drumming by Kagemusha Taiko all on the World of Rhythm stage. The Global Chillage stage sees Rob Johnson, Emily Druce, Children of the Drone and Iconoclast.

The event is in support of Animal Aid.

Coaches will be running from Bristol and Plymouth.
