Maidstone Fringe Festival, now in its sixth year, takes place over multiple venues in Maidstone, Kent over 5 days from Thursday 27th April until Monday 1st May 2017. The majority of events are FREE, with some cover charge events.

The Gentleman Rhymer, Funke & The Two Tone Baby, Ben Mills, Theatre Royal, Fred Clark, The Weekend Recovery, Radidas, Bamboozle, Falseheads, Oskar Vilcrow, Richie Brake, The Lowly Strung, Smalltown Missfits, Bram Stokers, Salvation Jayne, Skinny Milk, No Limit Street Band, Allfather, She Is Defiant, Tin Foil Astronaut, Lapis Lazuli, The Scorchers, TV Smith, One Day Elliott, We Are Bandicoot, Clea Llewellyn Trio, Petty Theives, Molly’s Bar, The Narratones, The Gallerys, Vaughan Batchelor, Esk Forte, Jayne Snow, Sol Bernstein, Magnus Turner MP, The Soundcasters, Ben Russell & The Charmers, The Dredgermen, Connor Noble, David James Rumsey, Mikey Price & Jon Fuller
Focused predominately on music, but also including comedy & street entertainers, it has a wide mixture of music from rock, indie and pop-punk, through to acoustic and blues acts, ska and reggae, contemporary folk, funk, soul, dance and hip-hop. Though a large percentage of the acts are from the South East & Kent, they do welcome performers from across the UK.
Venues confirmed so far are: Albion; Bar 6; Drakes; Druids; Earls; The Flower Pot; Frédéric; Music Room - Pizza Express; The Social Chill Bar; Source Bar; Style And Winch; The Duke Of Marlborough; White Horse; The Stag.
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
Incorporated within the festival are a number of all-day events and dance all-nighters, as well as family friendly entertainment in Jubilee Square and cafes and coffee shops in the Town Centre, with much of the music being free to attend!
