Maidstone Fringe Festival, now in its second year, takes place over multiple venues in Maidstone, Kent over 5 days from Thursday 3rd until Monday 7th May 2012. The majority of events are FREE.

What's on?

Focused predominately on music, but also including comedy & street entertainers, the festival, and the musical focus is on alternative rock, indie, blues and acoustic / contemporary folk. Though a large percentage of the artists are from the South East & Kent, they do welcome performers from across the UK.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

Venues

13 venues across the town are participating: Earls, The Style & Winch, Drakes, The Druids Arms, The Royal Albion, The Swan, The Dog & Gun, The Flowerpot, The White Horse, Babylon, Bar Chocolate, The Music Room Pizza Express, and Henrys.

This years festival incorporates all-day events at The Style & Winch, Earls, Drakes, outdoor stages at Bar Chocolate and The Royal Albion and a two-day metal event, organised by the Pandemonium Club which is running at Babylon, with the majority of events being free to attend.
