Meltdown
updated : Tue 7th Dec 04

A yearly set of concerts at London's Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall, with a different curator each year. This was originally a classical event, that has now progressed to be a more contemporary event.

Each year MELTDOWN offers a guest director the chance to produce his or her own fantasy festival, mixing artists and art forms, reflecting their own personal passions and interests.

Morrissey was Artistic Director for 2004, and it was curated by Lee 'Scratch' Perry in 2003, David Bowie in 2002, Robert Wyatt in 2001, and Scott Walker in 2000.

Please see the event links to the right for specific events.
