Limetree Festival has been cancelled.

A statement from organisers says:

"It Is with a very heavy heart that we have to inform you that we have not been granted the Entertainment License for the new site and we are therefore faced with no other option but to cancel this year's limetree festival.

Following the need to find a new venue for 2012 we were dependent upon the landowners judgement that the site they proposed was indeed suitable for our festival. We were therefore shocked by the vociferous opposition from some people to our lovely Limetree taking place. We worked incredibly hard to defend our license application but to no avail and we are absolutely devastated that the license was refused.

This is not the end! We will be back with the Limetree we all know and Love in 2013! Love and thanks! Stay with us people!

Limetree festival has an eclectic mix of performers, from northern soul to indie, to electro house & everything in between. The festival will have 2 stages of music, comedy, arts and film with an old school vibe.

Limetree festival happens for three days from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August 2012, the August bank holiday weekend, at Marfields, in Masham, North Yorkshire and is offers something for everyone with 6 covered stages of music each with its own identity but all woven together with quality, passion and love.

Line-up

Limetree showcases a host of national, regional and local musicians and artists. Utah Saints, The Miserable Rich, Fossil Collective, Uncle Frank, Thabo & The Real Deal, Hat Fitz & Cara, Celt Islam, John Gomm, and more. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Tickets

Early bird tickets are on sale priced at £85 including camping, with a £25 deposit option also available with full payments complete by no later than end of June 2012.

Junior (aged 14 - 17 years) tickets are priced at £45, Child (aged 5 – 13 years) tickets are priced at £25, and under children under 5 can enter for free. Junior ticket holders must be accompanied by an adult and may be asked for proof of age at the entrance. A family ticket (2 adults + 2 juniors) weekend ticket is priced at £210. Campervan tickets (full weekend tickets also required) are priced at £35.

Camping is included in this year's price, this year to encourage car sharing there will be car park charges.

On site

Limetree offers music and camping, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere with like minded souls who care about the environment whilst 'Leaving Only Foot Prints'.

As well as music, there's a diverse feast of affordable quality food, and a whole range of Children's Activities and Alternative Therapies to delve into and be pampered by.

For those wanting to 'glamp up' their festival camping experience there's a range of canvas tents set up by Soulpad village.
