Placebo once again managed to shock me this year at Leeds Festival, because they were quite literally amazing live. They quite literally win hands down as the band of the festival.

For once Brian decided to let the music do the talking, and the fans lapped it up. Opening with 'Kitty Litter', Brian was bouncing round the stage like a schoolboy who had been given way too many sherbet dips.
Immediately it was obvious that Brian had clearly worked hard to look healthy again and in doing so the band seem to have rekindled that spark that they first had when they started out all of those years ago.
The set was delivered with such passion and energy, that it really was one of the moments where you genuinely felt as if we were watching the makings of a future headlining band. Their set included 'The Bitter End' and 'Special K', and even though they missed out all of my favourite tracks such as 'Nancy Boy' and 'This Picture' and 'Pure Morning' however I was amazed that Placebo had managed to capture the attention of the young crowd without relying on their biggest hits. That alone shows that Placebo could quite easily be on the crest of their second wave.... fingers crossed!
A headline slot surely beckons!!!
