The FREE family friendly Lambeth Country show returns for its 40th anniversary on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July 2014 at Brockwell Park, Lambeth in London.
Saturday: (1.30pm – 7pm) Yaaba Funk, NZ Shapeshifter, and Jocelyn Brown.
Sunday: (1.30pm – 7pm) Black Roots, Mafia & Fluxy Band ft Matic Horns, Jerry Dammers, and ASWAD with Tippa Irie as host and compere.
Expect additional surprise guests and performers to be added to the weekend musical feast celebrating 40 years of Music.
The free event, brings a bit of the country to the city, filling Brockwell Park with a wide variety of music and entertainment. There will be arts and crafts available to buy and try, trade stalls, sheep dog displays, jousting, flower and vegetable competitions along with great cultural offerings and traditional fare. With hands-on activities for children and adults to enjoy with live animals from farmyard breeds to more exotic species, there's something for everyone.
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in and around Lambeth.
Brockwell Park is situated around 15 minutes by train from the West End, 20 minutes by train from the City, and a short walk from Herne Hill train station.
Take the Victoria Line to Brixton.
The following bus routes all serve this area: 2, 3, 37, 68, 196, 322, 432, 468, 690.
Herne Hill and Tulse Hill stations are a short distance away.
Easy access from the City and West End. Approximately 15 minutes drive from Victoria along the A202, A23, A204, B231, A2214, A215. There is limited car parking at the event which will be charged at £10 per vehicle per day. Brockwell Park has good public transport links.
