The FREE family friendly Lambeth Country show returns for its 36th year on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July at Brockwell Park, Lambeth in London.

Line-up

Saturday: The Thirst, Alabama 3 unplugged, Soul II Soul with Jazzie B, Miss Frank (X Factor finalists), Suravah Soul.
Sunday: Saxon Sound System featuring Musclehead, Trevor Sax and guests, Sista - Women in Reggae featuring Trilla Jena, Gappy Ranks, Saxon Sound System featuring Tippa Irie, The Twinkle Brothers, Saxon Sound System.

The Music stage will see ska, reggae and soul music from local musicians to well known artists and groups, whilst the Village Green stage provides the chance to listen to a range of music from acoustic and folk music to jazz and classical.

Village Green Stage:
Saturday: South London Saxophone Quartet, Joe Wikes, Ruth Brown, Annalie, Joe Wikes, SouthPaw Saints, Rún, Away with the Faeries, deXter Bentley, and intermission performances by Joe Wikes and Karmafree.
Sunday:Soul Seekers Allowance, Lambeth Wind Orchestra, Popchoir, Naomi Bedford, Spirit of Play, Pop Choir, King Groovy and the HornStars, Myke Masters Band, deXter Bentley, and iIntermission performances by Joe Wikes.

Other entertainment

The free 2 day festival, brings a bit of the country to the city, filling Brockwell Park with a wide variety of music and entertainment. There will be arts and crafts available to buy and try, trade stalls and flower and vegetable competitions. With hands-on activities for children and adults to enjoy with live animals from farmyard breeds to more exotic species, as well as brass bands, storytelling and a funfair, there's something for everyone.

The festivities start at 11am on Saturday 17 July when the array of vibrant stalls and marquees will be open for business.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in and around Lambeth.

Getting there

Brockwell Park is situated around 15 minutes by train from the West End, 20 minutes by train from the City, and a short walk from Herne Hill train station.

By tube
The Victoria Line will be closed during the Country Show weekend due to planned engineering works.

By bus
The following bus routes all serve this area: 3, 37, 68, 196, 322, 468.

By rail
Herne Hill and Tulse Hill stations are a short distance away.

By car
Easy access from the City and West End. Approximately 15 minutes drive from Victoria along the A202, A23, A204, B231, A2214, A215.
