Galloway's celtic/roots/world music festivals were running twice-yearly in the spectacular hills of Scotland's Southern Uplands since 1998. This year the festival returns in September as Doonhame Hairth. The event happens from over five days from Wednesday 16th until Sunday 20th September 2009.

The event held at Knockengorroch farm, Carsphairn, Kirkubrightshire, in Scotland will take a different shape from the Hairth festival of previous years with an undercover and heated greenstage arena with two stages crammed full of live music, DJs, dance, cabaret and the open mic.

Acts confirmed so far include the Peatbog Faeries, 3 Daft Monkeys, Bombskare, Sambayabamba and Banana Sessions with more to be announced. There will be a bar with real ales plus workshops, good food, several sessions areas, the longhouse and plenty of time for visitors to relax and enjoy the location.

TICKETS
Adult tickets are priced at a donation starting at £80; 2 adults 16+ and 2 children 11-15 years are eligible for a family ticket which involves a £10 reduction on the total price to be paid. Donations of a minimum of £15 can be made to become an official 'friend' of Knockengorroch and receive regular updates.
