Isle of Wight Festival 2005 Sat 11th Jun 05 The Isle of Wight Festival started with a sultry night, and the improved site layout from last year means that it has for the first time (since it restarted a few years ago) a real festival feel. Everyone was enjoying the evening, with Razolight proving to be a competent joint headliner, and Faithless were on true form playing to a packed field with all waving their arms throughout. Disappointingly they stopped right on 11pm, with no encore. Everyone moved to the Bollywood Bar and the school field, till the early hours. A warm evening and the chance to make new friends followed. Day one ended perfectly, and set us up for a scorching day two. They'll be full reviews as well as fantastic exclusive photos online next week. We could give them to you now, but we'd much rather be having fun – as it should be, we're out-front enjoying the festival to the full. article by Scott Williams
