I’ve been waiting all festival to finally see them and now they are held up by a technical hitch. Apt really because they start off with the chorus ‘if it feels like it works then it works!’ The first song his vocals aren’t loud enough but the crowd still get fully behind them.

With the sound levelled it’s only half way through the second song but with their energy and delight to be playing for us it’s clear they’re a future festival headliner. This is the most people we’ve ever played to they tell us, by quite a long margin. Judging by the performance of How to Be Dead where all the babes in the crowd appear on shoulders singing along and adding to the atmosphere.

Snow Patrol

Run is a huge festival anthem in the making and we have all fallen for their style, the warmth of the songs and there are happy to bond with us between songs, I always like bands who can do that.

They sure are having fun and it’s mutual, the first few bars of Chocolate is met with cheers from the audience. At one point he gets the crowd to scream and our vocal chords are ready for a terrific version of She Rescues Me. This is great stuff, more preferable than Coldplay and more original. If I can offer one piece of advice it’s go see them live and come away smiling. I guarantee it.
