Indietracks, the three day festival that combines heritage trains and indiepop music located in the Derbyshire countryside. Guests are free to enjoy the regular facilities of the Midland Railway Butterley such as the steam train rides, farm and museum, and enjoy a range of new and established indiepop bands.

The event will take place from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st of July at The Midland Railway Butterley (a heritage railway located in Ripley, Derbyshire). Around 50 indiepop bands will be playing at the festival across four stages: the outdoor stage; the indoor stage, the church and on the steam trains themselves. The festival will also host a range of art and craft workshops and a selection of discos after the bands finish.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are headliners Herman Dune, Crystal Stilts, Edwyn Collins, Suburban Kids with Biblical Names, Jonny (featuring Norman Blake and Euros Childs), Jeffrey Lewis, and The Hidden Cameras. Also confirmed are Help Stamp Out Loneliness, Milky Wimpshake, Just Handshakes (We're British), And Band A Part, Amor De Dias, Guatafan, A Fine Day For Sailing, Sloppy Joe, The History of Apple Pie, Horowitz, Frankie Machine, Haiku Salut, Victoria & Jacob, World of Fox, Ace Bushy Striptease, Heroes of the Mexican Independence Movement, Moustache of Insanity, Anguish Sandwich, The Proctors, Butcher Boy, Withered Hand, Pocketbooks, Ringo Deathstarr, Chris T-T, A Little Orchestra, Dignan Porch, The Bumblebees, Papa Topo, Math and Physics Club, The Wendy Darlings, The Sweet Nothings, Next Time Passions, Very Truly Yours, The Garlands, and Zipper with many more still to be announced.

Discos by Big Pink Cake, The Boys Who Couldn't Stop Dreaming, Half My Heart Beats, Little League, Scared To Dance, and Unpop.

And the following will be playing acoustically on the trains: The Whatevers, Peru, Oxo Foxo, Graeme Elston, Mat Patalano and Remi Parson.

Tickets

Weekend tickets are now available at an early bird discount price of £60, and day tickets are available for £32.50. This price is available until Friday 6th May. After this date, weekend tickets will be £65 and day tickets £35. Tickets for children aged 5-14 are £6 for a day ticket and £10 for the weekend. Under-5s get in free.

The bands will play until 10pm, and will then be followed by an indiepop disco. Included in the ticket price is unlimited train rides during the weekend, and full access to the normal Midland Railway Butterley attractions.

Camping

Camping is available at Golden Valley Caravan Park, which is a ten minute walk from the Swanwick festival site. Price per night, per tent for two people sharing is around £25. Cars will not be parked on the campsite but will be parked at the festival site once belongings have been unloaded. There will be a free music tent on site after the close of the festival at the railway. There is a bar and cafe on site, with a set menu available. Toilets and showers are available-cost included.
