All Tomorrow's Parties returns to the USA this September in the new location of Asbury Park, N.J. bringing an I'll Be Your Mirror event to Asbury Park waterfront. For the inaugural American I'll Be Your Mirror, Portishead will curate and headline their first East Coast shows since 1998 on the Saturday and Sunday! With ATP curating Friday.

Named after the b-side to The Velvet Underground's original All Tomorrow's Parties 7" single.

Line-up

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy to headline Friday, and Jeff Mangum on Friday night will perform Neutral Milk Hotel songs. Curators Portishead are also confirmed to headline on Friday and Saturday.

Friday: Jeff Mangum, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Shellac, Chavez, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, The Album Leaf, Cults, Awesome Tapes From Africa (DJ set), Reggie Watts, Hannibal Buress, Rory Scovel.

Saturday: Portishead, Ultramagnetic MCs, Battles, Swans, Marc Ribot's Ceramic Dog, The Horrors, The Pop Group, Factory Floor, Oneida Presents The Ocropolis III, Silver Qluster, BEAK>, Colin Stetson, Foot Village, DJ Peanut Butter Wolf, Thought Forms.

Saturday: Portishead, Jeff Mangum, Public Enemy - Performing Fear Of A Black Planet, Earth, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, Company Flow, Deerhoof, J.G. Thirlwell's Manorexia, People Of The North, Anika, DD/MM/YYYY, DJ Shepard Fairey. Mogwai have cancelled their appearance.

Plus: Revolutions: The Album Cover Art of Shepard Fairey, Lapham's Quarterly Literary Stage, Cinema presented by Criterion, Lord Sinclair's Pop Quiz, and Lord Sinclair's Rock'n'Roll Bingo.

The whole ATP experience will come to the location on the beach at Asbury Park, with the main shows taking place at the Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre, as well as the nearby Asbury Lanes and the Berkeley hotel. As well as the live music line-up of over 30 acts across the weekend, Friday will feature a Comedy stage, and Criterion will run the Cinema across the weekend. All three days will also feature DJs and other activities to be confirmed. Expect the usual popular food vendors including the much loved Asia Dogs, and much, much more. Performances all take place indoors, so you have no need to fear about the weather.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

Travel

Trains: Asbury Park station is an easy train journey from New York Penn station - trains run back to NYC until just after midnight and start again at 5am the next morning. Trains run direct from Newark International Airport down the North Jersey Coastline to Asbury Park.
