Hungry Pigeon - The Northern Quarter Festival is an annual event taking place on the last May Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th May 2010 in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Line-up

Acts include Athlete, Reverend Soundsyste, The Travelling Band, Liam Frost, Kid British, The Longcut, Karima Francis, The Jessie Rose Trip, Lowline, Misty's Big Adventure, To The Bones, Thomas Truax, Kirsty Almeida, and Clint Boon.

Opening up the festival on the Friday night is Hungry Pigeon Vs The Aftershow with a headline slot from the Reverend Soundsystem.

Athlete will headline with Liam Frost, The Longcut, Karima Francis, Lowline, and To The Bones heading up the bill, this year's line-up sees over 150 bands takes over established venues such as Night & Day, Manchester Roadhouse, Moho Live, Dry Bar and following its re-opening last year the Band On The Wall are also involved.

On Saturday May 29th Piccadilly Gardens will again host the Hungry Pigeon Main Stage. A free party for all, supported by Manchester City Council and Visit Manchester. This year the stage will be hosted by Clint Boon.

Around the festival

Local shops, bars and eateries contribute to the festival too, with offers for ticket holders throughout the Festival, all in the name of community and the spirit of the Northern Quarter. As well as the music this event offers a full schedule of live art, poetry, short films, U18s events, art exhibitions, busking and even its very own Northern Quarter art treasure trail.
