Holmfirth Festival of Folk takes place from May 11th - 13th. This is the second Holmfirth Festival of Folk and once again most events are free but collections will be taken.

The festival consists of music sessions, concerts, singarounds, folk clubs and workshops in almost all the pubs in Holmfirth plus a Saturday night concert with Chumbawamba, James Raynard and 4 Square in the Civic Hall.

Other artists include Craig Morgan Robson, Kate Bramley, Katriona Gilmore and Jamie Roberts, John Richards Band, Jake Thackray Experience, Jamie Smith, Shellback Chorus and many many more.

There's also a Ceilidh on Saturday night in the Market Hall with the Red Parrots and a Family Ceilidh on Sunday afternoon with the Good Egg Band.

There'll be almost 30 dance sides and street musicians and the full participation of local schools who are learning their stuff at the moment and will be showing off in the Civic Hall on Saturday lunchtime.
