A family festival now in it's 12th successful year, The Home Educators' Summer Festival (HESFES) takes place on Saturday 23rd to Saturday 28th July.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed include Aevitemal, Arbor Lights, The Balsamic Bar Stars, Dave Crawley, Diego Brown & the Good Fairy, Find Me Next Fall, Fishing For Eyelashes, George Barnett, Hattie Hatstar, Jonathan Spurling, Just Me Again, The Lost Audio, and Spider. HESFES has three stages, 12 marquees, solar cinema, free showers and lots more.

The festival is not just for Home Educators, or home schooled children, as children who are in school and their families are also welcome.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £74 for an adult week ticket, child aged 7yrs to 17yrs ticket £57, child aged 3yrs to 6yrs ticket £15, child aged 2yrs and under can attend free. Single day/overnight tickets also available. To buy tickets, click here.

All camping, facilities, workshops, and live music with camping (Tents, caravans & campervans all welcome) included in ticket price.

Activities

Activities are included in the ticket price and include childrens' cabaret, open mic sessions, cinema, teen tent (and camping area), labyrinth, toddler play area, football tournament, theatre, games areas, legal questions, story time, sports day, childrens' discos, and more.

Workshops

This year's workshops include art, bead & wire, bandana, bee keeping, big draw, belly dancing, break dancing, circus skills, copper beating, crochet, drama, drumming, dry felting, edible plants walk, face painting, film making, football coaching, forest school, friendship bracelets, hair braiding, intelligent parenting, junk4funk, mask making, music, bongo's workshops, gospel singing, making it up as you go along, play a song, poi, portraits, qigong, recycled clothing, remote control cars, science, a presentation on the human body, rockets, storytelling, weaving, yoga, and zumba. All workshops, events and activities are included in the ticket price.

The event is run by a cooperative of volunteers and is non profit making and entirely self funding.
