The 21st Herne Bay Festival takes place from Saturday 22nd until Sunday 30th August 2015 at various venues across Herne Bay, Kent
With huge support from the local community, who host many of the events, the festival offers a programme of over 100 events during the 9 days. Almost every event is completely FREE, and offers all ages the opportunity to watch or try something new. The festival is perfect for families looking to spend some vibrant weekends by the coast, or those who’d like to relax on one of the best coastlines in the area.
Line-up
Herne Bay Live takes place on the evening of Saturday 29th, featuring the winners of Herne Bay Rocks, Herne Bay's Got Talent and the Music Stage, with the incredible Gino Washington and The Ram Jam Band headlining the Clock Tower Plaza, followed by the fireworks display from Neptune's Arm.
This year the festival will be celebrating Victorian Herne Bay and has got some fabulous events planned including the annual evening lantern parade, sandcastle competition, fireworks display, live music stage, Alfresco Ballroom dance workshops and of course Herne Bay’s Got Talent.
The festival's organisers have promised to celebrate the town's heritage and past as a prosperous seaside resort: candy floss, donkeys, music hall, crabbing, Punch and Judy, and sandcastles.
The Herne Bay Festival is focused along the seafront, but there are other events throughout the town and in the Memorial Park.

Herne Bay lies 8 miles from Canterbury, and can be accessed via the A291. There is plenty of free parking within the town, and numerous car parks close to the seafront.
