Gŵyl Gardd Goll - translated as The Lost Garden Festival - becomes a 3-day event for its fifth year, again being held at Y Faenol, Felinheli, Bangor, in North Wales from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th July 2011.
It aims to live up to being an affordable family event in a glorious open-air atmosphere, and build on being legendary for its contemporary musical performances. After winning The National Outdoor Events Associations Small Event of the Year award, as well as BBC Radio Cymru C2s Best Festival in Wales award once again, the festival hopes to inspire people back for a three-day feast of musical delights.
Line-up
The first acts confirmed are the three headliners of Gruff Rhys, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Badly Drawn Boy. Plus Jonny, Islet, Y Niwl, Yr Ods, Race Horses, Cate le Bon, Richard James, Gallops, Jen Jeniro, Yucatan, The Keys, The Loud, 9Bach, Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, Gai Toms, and Sen Segur.Tickets
An adult (16+ years) weekend ticket is priced at £55, and £80 with camping, a child (aged 4-15 years) weekend ticket is priced at £30, or £45 with camping, and children aged under 4 years can attend free. A family weekend (2 adults and 2 children age 4-15) ticket is priced at £140, or £205 with camping. A campervan or caravan weekend ticket (only sold with weekend camping ticket) is priced at £30. Camping/Caravans
The festival will be hosting its own camping this year. Weekend camping includes two nights from 5pm Friday, the 22nd of July to 8pm Sunday, the 24th of July.On site
Refreshments will be available to buy on site. Art workshops and stalls featured. No glass or animals (except guide dogs) allowed on site. The festival is in a field, so bring a chair or blanket.More information will be here when available.
